Security & Privacy

A short, honest list of what we do — and what we don't.

Private by default

Every document lives in a private storage bucket with row-level access policies. No public links.

Short-lived signed URLs

When you or your reviewer needs to view a document, we create a signed URL that expires in minutes.

Row-level security

Every database table is RLS-on. Claimants see only their own claim. Reviewers see only claims assigned to them. Admins see everything but every action is logged.

Full audit log

Document views, document downloads, status changes, reviewer notes, attorney sign-offs, agent runs, and prompt edits are all recorded.

No legal advice from the AI

The AI is a helper, not a lawyer. We built rules in it that block payout promises and lawyer-style answers. A real lawyer reviews everything.

Role separation

Four roles: claimant, paralegal, attorney, admin. Permissions enforced both at the application layer and inside the database.

What we won't do

  • Sell your data.
  • Use your documents to train AI models.
  • Promise you a payout or "your case is worth $X".
  • Bypass attorney review on final submission.

We are not a law firm. We do not give legal advice.

1776 Claims helps you organize your story, papers, damages, and timeline. The AI is a helper, not a lawyer. Before you send your file anywhere, a real lawyer needs to look at it. We are not the government. No payouts promised.
